American Goldfinch, probably a juvenile, Durham, 9/27/06. This bird appeared in the swamp in my neighborhood.

Red-shouldered Hawk, Durham, NC 9/17/06. I heard the repeated cries of this bird out in front of my house and went out to get pictures.
Eastern Phoebe, Durham, NC 9/8/06
Yellow-billed Cuckoo, Durham, NC 9/7/06. This bird appeared in the wake of Tropical Storm Ernesto.
Gray Catbird, Durham 9/2/06. On the edge of a power line cut, this bird was watching me very intently.
