Spined Assassin Bug nymph (Sinea genus), Durham, NC, 6/17/07.  This bug was about 3 mm long. Planthopper nymph, Durham, NC, 6/17/07.  This nymph was about 1 mm long.  It's mostly facing the camera, with its right eye visible. Stilt-legged Fly, Durham, NC, 6/17/07.  Tumbling Flower Beetle, Durham, NC, 6/17/07.  This beetle was very tiny, maybe 2 or 3 mm long.  Here you can't see the head. Leafhopper (Grapho-cephala genus), Durham, NC, 6/17/07. 

 

Eggs, Durham, NC, 6/17/07.  This egg mass, laid on a cattail leaf, was about 6 mm long.  See other eggs. Maybe a Florida Cooter, Penny's Bend Nature Preserve, Durham County, NC, 6/1507.  This turtle showed up on ridge level, far from the river.  It was very large, at least a foot long.  See other turtles.
