Ocola Skippers seem to be relatively common in eastern North Carolina, although the butterfly books suggest otherwise. Perhaps it's because that long forewing makes them hard to miss. This skipper hangs around later in the year than other butterflies and skippers, and this particular one appeared in Carolina Beach, New Hanover County, NC on 11/19/04.
